TERMS & CONDITIONS 

TFI Public Voting 

Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. 

Entrants are encouraged to carefully review these Terms & Conditions before registering or submitting an entry. The Competition may have unique eligibility requirements, methods of entry, content and technical requirements. 

1. DEFINITIONS 

Competition means the TFI Public Voting. 

Competition Rules means the competition requirements and details specified for entry into the Competition. 

Entrant or you means you, subject to your eligibility to enter the competition. 

Entry Content means your entry submitted or proposed to be submitted to a competition and all property and material included that forms part of your entry including all photographs, images, words, concepts or ideas. 

Immediate Family Member means a spouse, child, parent, or sibling. 

Prizes means the prizes listed in clause 3. 

Terms & Conditions means these terms and conditions. 

TFI means the The Film Invitational film competition. 

We, us or our means SCF EVENTS PTY LTD (ACN 628 064 344) 

Winner means the entrants whose name has been selected to win and/or receive the Prize. 

2. ENTRY CONDITIONS / HOW TO ENTER 

To enter the Competition, eligible entrants must comply with the following entry conditions: 

Who can enter? 

Entrants must: 

1. (a) purchase a Gold Class ticket to the screenings or a Watch | Vote |Win Pass; 
2. (b) be 18 years of age or over at the time of submitting their Entry Content; 
3. (c) not be one of our employees or immediate family members of such employees, or one of our agents or associated entities; 
4. (d) not be a team or individual participant in the TFI film event; 
5. (e) enter on their own behalf and cannot enter on behalf of a third party; and 
6. (f) vote according to the guidelines. 

How to enter? 

Entrants must purchase an action pass from TFI website which gives access to The Film Invitational Films on the app & website.

Entrants will vote for their favourite teams using the app or website. 

For every one vote, the entrant will receive one entry into the prize drawing. 

Entrants may not receive more than 500 entries, and voting and entries shall be capped at 500 per account. 

Members may only have one account associated with them for entry into the prize drawing. 

Alternatively, entrants without access to the access pass may submit entries to the drawing by filling out the attached form and mailing with pre-paid postage to: SCF, 235 Bradman Ave, Maroochydore QLD 4558. 

Each entry received via mail will be granted one entry into the prize drawing.  

There is no difference in the odds of winning whether entries made by mail or by voting on the app. All valid entries are entries into the drawing and have equal chance of being chosen. 

When to enter? 

The Australian voting period will run between 12pm in Brisbane, Queensland Australia on 14th October 2023 and 6pm in Brisbane, Queensland Australia on 28th October 2023. 

All voting and entries must be submitted within the voting periods. 

Late entries will not be accepted or considered for the Prizes or votes. 

Right to disqualify 

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that we believe has an unfair advantage or may be in breach of any legislation, regulation or the Terms & Conditions. 

This right extends, at our sole discretion, to any future promotions or competitions we may host. 

3. PRIZE 

At the end of the voting period, all entries will be accumulated and winners will randomly be drawn via lucky draw. 

Prizes: 

1. (a) are not transferable; 
2. (b) are not saleable or redeemable for cash 
3. (c) may not be substituted or exchanged without our written consent; and 
4. (d) cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. 

Any unused proportion of the Prize, or failure to utilise the Prize by the date referred to herein will be forfeited unless otherwise agreed to, in writing, by us. 

All taxes, fees and surcharges on the Prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. 

There are three (3) Prizes available and these shall be drawn in the following order:  

1. Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) cash 

2. One 2023 Seadoo Spark 3up – Subject to availability, colour may vary. Valued at $15,000 RRP . On road costs paid by winner.

3. Fiji Holiday – includes six (6) nights’ accommodation, meals and activities for 2 people during the SCF Fiji Member’s Trip Event (Date TBD). (Does not include international flights). Valued at $15,000 RRP 

The Prizes do not cover any travel costs. All components of the Prize must be taken together. Travel restrictions may apply. Transportation fees (other than specified in the itinerary), international or domestic travel to and from departure point, passports, Visas, telephone charges, laundry, additional nights or upgrades and any other personal expenses and travel insurances are the responsibility of the winner. 

Any travel or entry documentation and arrival fees are the responsibility of the Winner and their travel companion. It is the Winner’s responsibility to check with all government travel advisory and immigration authorities regarding travel requirements and eligibility. Any fines, penalties, payments and expenditure incurred as a result of not meeting such requirements are the sole responsibility of the Winner and his/her guest. 

If for any reason the winner is unable to accept the Prize as stated, and/or within the date indicated, the winner will forfeit that Prize and no compensation will be given in lieu. 

If any portion of the Prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize, or that element of the Prize, for a Prize of similar theme and of equal value, subject to State regulation and subsequent approval. 

In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster, pandemic or any other force majeure event as defined in our booking terms and conditions which are beyond our control we reserve the right to either provide an alternative to the same value as the original Prize or, 

subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. 

Our associated agencies and we make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. It is the sole responsibility of the Winner and guest to first check with all government travel advisory information regarding the safety and situation of the destination of their chosen destination/event. 

We are not responsible for any cancellation, postponement, delay or rescheduling of transport and any costs incurred as a result, including, without limitation, any accommodation costs will be the sole responsibility of the Prize winner. 

4. DRAW 

The winners will be selected at 12pm in Brisbane, Queensland Australia on 25th November by way of a random drawing from all eligible entries received. 

Entrants may win more than one prize if they have multiple entries in the drawing. 

All decisions are final and binding in matters relating to the Competition. 

The drawing may be performed through an electronic script which will randomly select the winner by using computer script designed to select random entry or entries. 

The winner will be notified by email within 24 hours of the drawing date and the winners shall be announced on the TFI and SCF instagram pages. 

The winner must confirm acceptance of their prize within 7 days of the notification or the prize may be forfeited. 

The winner must comply with these Terms & Conditions and wining is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. 

We reserve the right to re-draw the winner of a Prize if the Prize is not able to be taken by the initial winner. 

This process may be repeated until a valid winner is drawn. 

5. PRIVACY 

All entries will be our property. Any personal information collected may be used by us, our contractors and agents as well as our service providers for the purpose of conducting this Competition. 

Personal information may be disclosed to contractors and agents assisting with this Competition or to communicate with entrants.

By entering this competition, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on our databases, our related bodies corporate, and any prize sponsors (as the case may be). 

We, our related bodies corporate and our service providers may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding our products and services including contacting entrants via electronic messaging. 

We are bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). 

6. LIABILITY 

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, we, including our employees or agents, are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered or claimed (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or damage, personal injury or death, and direct or indirect loss or damage) by an entrant in relation to entering or participating in this Competition or taking or using the Prize offered except where that loss, damage or injury was caused by breach of these Terms & Conditions by us, our employees or agents, or the wilful or negligent acts or omissions of us, our employees or agents. To avoid any doubt, we, including our employees or agents, shall not be liable for loss caused by an act of God or anything else outside our control. 

You agree that we, including our employees and agents, will not be liable for any failure by you to be eligible for, or receive any government grants, concessions or rebates of any kinds (whether offered by State Government, Federal Government or any other authority). 

You warrant that you have either obtained legal advice, or refused to obtain legal advice, in relation to any application to receive, or your eligibility to apply for, any government grant, concession or rebate, and you have not relied upon any representation (express or implied) by us or the builder of the Selected Properties concerning your eligibility. 

7. GOVERNANCE & SEVERABILITY 

These Terms & Conditions are subject to the laws of Queensland. 

Any disputes will be governed by and subject to mediation and/or alternative dispute resolution processes and laws of Queensland. 

All Terms & Conditions are binding in the State of Queensland to the extent that they do not conflict with the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any individual State laws. 

In the event of any conflict with any law of Queensland, or if a term or part of a term is illegal or unenforceable, it is deemed to be severed from these Terms & Conditions and the remaining Terms & Conditions will remain in force. 

8. GENERAL 

For any Prize that remains unclaimed (for a period of 3 business days from the date the Prize was drawn) or forfeited through ineligibility or otherwise, we will award the Prize to the next winning entrant in accordance with clause 4. 

We reserve the right to request the winner’s proof of identity, age, citizenship and residency at the address provided. 

Overseas Holiday’s must be used during the dates scheduled for the SCF Members Trip which is unscheduled at the time of the drawing. The winner will be notified of the trip date as soon as the date is confirmed. If the winner is unable to attend, the prize shall be forfeited and re-drawn. 

If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, we reserve the right (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. 

All monies referred to herein are inclusive of GST (if applicable) and all currencies are references to Australia Dollar (AUD). 

We otherwise reserve the right to alter or amend any conditions associated with this Competitions at our sole discretion.
