Just Nibblin
The boys and I spent the weekend fishing in massive seas off Portland, Victoria, in search of the elusive southern bluefin tuna.
With a small window of opportunity and questionable weather conditions, 4-meter seas and 25-35 knot winds—we decided to venture out.
After being battered for an hour, we were ready to head home. But, as always, “let’s just head to the lighthouse and back and then we’ll head home” turned into a screaming reel and a lack of time —we had hooked the big Barrel we were after! We strapped in for a wild ride as she and the weather gave us a beating.
